Hi
I am quite new to using evolve, love the features so far.
Question
Is there any way to put a minimum time lock on a chapter of a module, to stop people gaming or just clicking their way through to the end.
HI there, I’m not sure any authoring tool can force the user to stay on part of a course for a particular amount of time. To be honest, I’m not sure that would be a great user experience anyway. You can lock content so you cant progress until you have interacted with the content - I would suggest a combination of that plus an assessment at the end of the course to test whether learners have read and understood the content is the way to go.
So, enable the Content Locking Extension (extensions are the jigsaw icon in the left hand menu) then on each page of your course, you will see when you select a page or an article, a new tab called ‘Content Locking’ is present. You can then select for each article or page the criteria that unlocks it.
If you select the mortar board icon by the content lock extension on the extension page, you can read a help article with further guidance.
Cheers-Sam
Thanks Sam, Content locking will work for me.
