Live preview in separate window

In Legacy there was a “Live preview” that openend a new tab (or “window” if detached, which was preferrable). In New Evolve the Preview opens in the editor tab, but is actually a live preview - as I’ve noticed by duplicating the editor tab, detaching it and then starting preview, whereafter I can go back to the first tab and continue to edit the course. Edits are now shown in the preview window.

Wouldn’t it be better to open the preview in a new window in the first place? The method of duplication the editor tab etc etc… feels a bit complicated.

Not answering your question I know but Chrome’s Split View is cool for working with Evolve:

+1 for opening Live Preview in a new window by default. I know this is probably a muscle memory thing, but I keep hitting Exit Course instead of the Exit Preview and that closes New Evolve completely. :woman_facepalming:t3:

That shouldn’t be happening… clicking Exit Course in New Evolve Preview should have the same effect as clicking Exit Preview! I’ll look into that…

OK I’ve figured that one out - a stupid mistake on my part that, weirdly, only seemed to manifest occasionally! Should be fixed next week, I will let you know when it’s released.

@Emily should be fixed now

Awesome, thank you! I know it’s a small detail but I appreciate it.

Absolutely no problem - thanks for letting us know about it!
