I have created two open input response questions within a course. After scorming the course and placing it in our LMS, I have noted that when learners input their responses into the open input boxes and hit save, that information is not actually being saved and cannot be collected/reported on. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi @M_Gonzal SCORM 1.2 doesn’t have the capacity to save open text responses like this - what you could do is enable the local storage extension so learners responses are saved for them between sessions. What you could also do is enable the Reflection extension and add all open inputs so learners can access either a pdf or html doc with their responses collated, which could then be emailed somewhere if you need to see learner’s responses.
Edit: I thought xAPI publishing might support this, but unfortunately not.

Hi @M_Gonzal. You might also like to checkout this thread about the Local Storage component and its pros and cons. I am hoping Evolve can come about with an option to have Local Storage exclusive to Open Input.
