Chinese language characters not displaying in reflections pdf

Hello all,

We’re having some issues with a course that has been translated into Chinese. When the PDF from the reflections extension is downloaded, the characters aren’t displaying correctly. Latin languages (Brazil Portuguese, Mexican Spanish, French Canadian) are working fine so I assume this might be an issue with the font not supporting Chinese characters.

I would’ve thought Arial is fairly universal. This is a pretty considerable issue since we cannot customize the font in the auto generated pdf. Is there something else we’re not considering?

@LaurynS that’s correct, if you look in the Behavior section of the Reflection extension you’ll see this section:

Unfortunately the variant of Arial that supports Chinese is a rather large 22MB download.
