Add menu items from hamburger menu on left nav

Hi,
I have a course with 5 pages. I’m using the ‘standard’ menu.
I have a hamburger menu, on the top-left, but can’t seem to get the pages to appear when I press the hamburger menu. The menu which flies out fro the left is blank.
Can someone point me the right direction?
Many thanks!
Ben

You’ve not just got a clash of text colour and background colour so it looks like it’s blank, but if you highlight all you see the items? Just a stab in the dark!

@benwebber I think @hbailey may be on to something. Check in your theme (Appearance tab) .

Hi @hbailey and @anon59780582,

I thought that might be the case, but not so. It’s the damnedest thing!
I ended up removing the hamburger menu for client review.

@anon59780582, if this is keeping you awake at night and you’d like to have a look under the hood, the course is called CPA Version 2 under the Lucidvs Evolve instance.

It’s been sent to the client already, but i’m keen to know what’s going on. It may well be user error. (Wouldn’t be the first time!)

Thanks again for taking the time to reply.

HI @anon59780582,

I haven’t been able to crack this hamburger menu issue.
The course is under the LucidVS evolve instance and is called ‘My Firm, My Future - V2 HAMBURGER TEST’.

Would you be able to jump under the hood and take a look? The hamburger menu displays the resources button correctly, but doesn’t display any section titles for navigation.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance,

Ben

@benwebber I’ve had a look at that course. We’ve turned on Course Navigation - this is the extension you need to see your course pages/topics displayed as a hamburger menu.

The Resources extension also defaults to a “hamburger” menu icon.

Currently you can’t display the Resources extension in the Course navigation menu. You could however use a Link component in the course to link to this page from anywhere inside the course.

You will probably want to change the icon of either Resources or the Course Navigation extension.

Hope this helps.

Thanks so much @anon59780582! I didn’t realise I’d need to activate an extension.
So glad we could work it out!
Ben
