Accessibility of the Sorting Component

How do you test the accessibility of the Sorting Component? Does anyone know the proper combination of key strokes to drag the answers into place?

I know this is 2 years on, but maybe my reply will help others!

You can use Tab to move through items to the answer tiles (although on my browser there was no visual indication that the answer tile had the focus). Then click Space to select the tile. You can then use the arrow keys to move the item up and down.

Thanks for responding daveyboond! Whilst you can use the keyboard to operate the Sorting component, it doesn’t work so well with screen readers and it’s not a component we would recommend using in an accessible course.

Thanks Sam. Does the same apply to the Drag and Drop component in that case?

It does, we created the Card Drop component as a fully accessible alternative to the D&D.

Ah brilliant, thanks. I wondered why there were 2 components doing roughly the same thing!
