No reset option for the Card Drop component,

We need some insights regarding this request.

Currently, I am using two components: Drag and Drop and Card Drop. For the Drag and Drop component, I can see a Reset option available.

However, for the Card Drop component, I do not see a Reset option.

Could you please let us know if there is a way to enable or configure the Reset option for the Card Drop component . Kindly advise if there are any settings we should check.

Thank you.

Hi @Test_01 , Reset is available for Card Drop - you need to have multiple attempts set up in Behavior > Attempts. When a learner answers incorrectly, Reset will be available.

Thank you Sam, for the explanation.

However, I’ve noticed that in the Drag and Drop component, the Reset option is visible default even when no attempts have been added. but for the Card Drop component, the Reset option does not appear by default without having attempts

Could you please confirm whether it is necessary to add attempts to the Card Drop component for the Reset option to become available. Also, could you clarify if this difference in behavior is expected between these two components?

Thank you.

Hi, to be honest I’m not sure why you are seeing a difference there, it’s possibly a bug - but given the fact that if you set the same number of attempts in each component then they behave the same way, it’s not going to adversely affect a course that has both Components present.

One thing to note - we created the Card Drop Component to provide an accessible alternative to the Drag and Drop, as that is not accessible. So I would always use the Card Drop instead if possible.

I think it’s probably a bug in that the Drag and Drop component is failing to handle Attempts being set to an invalid value such as 0 or no value at all.

It works fine if you set it to a valid value i.e. 1 or higher.
