We need to update multiple URLs in our Evolve courses that were previously hosted on platform-api-public.s3.amazon.aws.com
. Is there a way to search for ALL instances of this URL in Evolve or Intellum to streamline the replacement process? Or is manually going through each activity the only option? I’ve also tried searching for the Link component, which helps, but not all URLs use that component. Any insight or help is appreciated!
Hey Lily,
I may have a solution for you - our lovely partners at Mint who love Evolve, have provided a suite of tools which will do various things for you in Evolve. One of them is a find and replace.
Now this comes with several caveats which I need to stress before you try it!
- This is a very new suite of tools and although we have tried them ourselves, we have not completed rigorous testing of them with a range of Evolve courses and situations.
- I STRONGLY recommend that you DUPLICATE your course before you download it and use it for anything in this suite. Keep the duplicate as a backup until you are happy.
Here is the link: https://essentials.mint-interactive.com/ - you need to register and then use the Updater tool:
Let me know how you get on!
Thank you! This is so good to know and I will keep this in mind. What I was looking for was more of a crawler that would scan all the courses and spit out a list of activities I need to update vs me going into each and every activity. Luckily I created an extensive audit where I identified all the content elements, so this turned out to be a lifesaver. But it didn’t hurt to ask if a deeper search exist in Evolve for cases like this. Thanks again for taking the time to help me out!
