Is there a way to hide ‘show answer’ on a multiple choice question? Other question types have this option but if MCQ does, it’s evading me. Learners have one attempt to go through all 10 questions before infinate retakes.
hi @Christina - this isn’t something that’s available in New Evolve at this time, probably because this is the first time anyone’s asked for this!
Two questions for you:
- just to check - this question is part of an assessment?
- you only want to remove the marking icon that indicates which answer should have been selected i.e. not the x next to the answer the learner selected nor the x above the feedback)?
Hi Matt
Yes, I have enabled assessment for this course, and only the tick mark needs to be hidden to not give away the right answer for the retake. So if they get the right answer, show the tick mark against the option, and if they answer incorrectly only show the X mark against the option and not also the tick for the right option.
That makes sense, although we’ll need to have a think about how this would work more widely - as for something like a Multiple Response Question the learner could simply select all the options to see what the correct/incorrect answers are. Might have to be that we don’t show marking on the options (if the learner doesn’t answer correctly).
Seems sensible to not show any markings if the answer is incorrect. People can include the right answer in the feedback if they wish to share that on assessment.
