Organize courses

Hi,

I’m wondering if this community has suggestions for organizing courses. In legacy Evolve, we can use folders as well as tags to support content operations. Now that we have more courses, it’s becoming difficult to manage everything in a single dashboard, which is also hard to search.

Hi @sliao , I’m afraid I dont have any suggestions above using the filters (owned by me, etc) to thin down the results - but I’m curious as to whether you are having issues with the search? Or do you mean its functionality is limited?

Search is very limited. For example, in legacy Evolve, we can tag courses by author, persona or other purposes, and easily filter to find what we’re looking without knowing the specific title. We can also put all courses in the same Intellum learning path into a folder to help with organization. The current search requires me to know certain keywords to search. Legacy Evolve was doing a very good job with content operations for enterprise companies and it would be great to bring back some of those features.

Thanks for the feedback, I will pass that on to the team. New Evolve is still quite young as an application, but we are enhancing the functionality (as well as adding new features) all the time.

I have the same issue - with courses being made with micro learning and needing to know what goes where other than complex coding in file names to keep them alphabetically ‘together’ it is limiting to be able to organise courses. Filters, tags and folders were one of my fav organisation features in legacy, so please implement that soon! :slight_smile:
