LOVE + Embedding Content?

Really enjoying the design of the new Evolve! I’m excited to see where the platform goes.

How do I add an embedded iFrame element into the new Evolve? I did not see an option for code, HTML, or embed in the components.

Thanks for the help!

Hey!

An Iframe component is not yet implemented in Evolve. Something of this nature will undoubtedly be introduced at some point though!

Love the enthusiasm Jordan, and thanks for the feedback! In fact, I’m happy to report that iFrame is already in development and will be included in our next release. Keep an eye out for updates

Hey @Matt_Leathes

Now that you’re working on the new Evolve, I have an idea that would offer a lot of potential possibilities.

I think it would be very interesting if you could insert your own script like the iframe, with the possibility that the script could transfer something to Evolve and it would be trackable. This would allow Evolve to be linked to every conceivable extension, not just as an iframe but as a real component that can respond. This would require a predefined trigger option where you could tell the script what to do.

What do you think?

@Pablo I’m not entirely sure I know what you mean… do mean like we have with the iframe component in Legacy Evolve where you can add a script to trigger component completion from within the iframe? Or something more advanced such as the ability to trigger Logic actions?

Adding scripts to trigger component completion is incredibly powerful! It unlocks numerous possibilities and truly transforms what’s possible. That’s exactly what I meant! Please bring this back. It’s brilliant. :star_struck:

Taking this further, the ability to trigger Logic actions sounds also cool.

Got it - I’ll add this as a feature request

@Pablo you can now trigger completion from your iframe content in new Evolve just like you can in the old version. The instructions are basically the same and can be found here.

Thank you for the update @Matt_Leathes

@Matt_Leathes Right now it’s not possible to upload a zip like in the old version? Do I have to host it somewhere?

For the moment, yes.
