Guides for using logic and triggers

I can’t locate any guides for using Logic/ triggers. I keep getting to an Intellum experience page which is generating an error when I try to access. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

Hi @emherlaar this is the link: Evolve: Advanced Features : Intellum

Is that working for you? It’s loading for me.

Cheers-Sam

thanks Sam, I did find that but its too brief to be useful to me unfortunately. I need an actual how to guide. Thanks anyway though! I think there’s an issue with my login to the intellum experience pages where I’m hopeful there is more detailed guidance.

@emherlaar apologies, yep I see what you mean. I will consult my colleagues and ask if there’s anything more in depth. Can always respond to any queries you have on here in the interim.

Ok thanks. Essentially I want to make a 5 point Likert chart with 16 questions and 3 feedbacks depending on score ranges. I understand the triggers to show/hide feedback but stumped on how to apply the variables. It was much easier in storyline…

I would suggest using slider input components, which allows you to save the learners response to a variable - then use a logic trigger with ‘Variables changed’ as the event, then you can set conditions on the variable so a certain value would then perform an action like displaying a particular piece of hidden text, so the learner sees the appropriate feedback for their score. I hope that’s of some help - cheers-Sam

I get the gist already of what is supposed to happen, was just hoping for a visual guide of what it all looks like.

Hey @emherlaar,

I have a very quick demo of how it could work - you can import this into your instance and take a look.

thanks Helen! Much appreciated. It didn’t work at first, but then I clicked the activate logic triggers to enable them and then the feedback was revealed. What does the dialogs button do?

Do you mean the Dialogs within the Logic menu?

You can use logic via triggers and events to show dialogs with your own content in, for example for personal feedback on something someone has completed/clicked or when a variable reaches a certain value.

Try one out and see what happens!
