Game component scroll issue

Hi, we have used the game component and there is scroll issues on this on a mobile device.
This works when we use the preview link from Evolve but once its exported to SCORM or xAPI the scroll doesnt work on a mobile.
Is this a known issue or something that needs changing in a setting?

What are you actually launching it from when published as SCORM/xAPI? It could well be the way that platform renders the course that’s the problem.

Unfortunately Safari for iOS/iPadOS is notoriously finicky about rendering responsive content if it’s loaded into an iframe. Moodle, for example, has had an issue with this for over 10 years now.

There’s a couple of things you can try to work around this:

  • In Advanced publish settings, enable ‘Use iFrame Scroll Fix for Mobile Devices’
  • If your LMS has an option to open the course in ‘same window’ (similar to Moodle) you can choose that then enable the Evolve advanced publish setting ‘Launch course in popup window’
  • If your LMS is Totara there should be a ‘new window (simple)’ option you can choose for displaying the course
