Calling all Learning and Development (L&D) professionals and accessibility specialists connected to learning.
Help shape accessibility best practice in digital learning content by taking part in the eLa1000 assessment, an innovative sector-wide project to benchmark accessibility in L&D.
Designed and developed by Susi Miller, author of Designing Accessible Learning Content and LPI Learning Professional of the Year 2025, the eLa1000 assessment marks a vital first step toward creating an evidence-based accessibility strategy for the L&D sector.
The assessment takes about ten to fifteen minutes, and in return, you’ll receive a free personalised report which includes:
- A benchmark of your current L&D accessibility performance.
- Targeted insights and recommendations.
- Practical resources to help you harness the full benefits of accessible learning content (including meeting a wider range of learner needs, supporting compliance with global accessibility standards, and future-proofing learning by anticipating evolving learner access needs).
The eLa1000 assessment is designed for any organisation, team, or individual involved in creating or commissioning digital learning content. You can support the project by completing the assessment yourself or by sharing it with others. Every completed response helps build a stronger understanding of accessibility in learning, supports a more accessible future for all learners, and contributes to reducing the environmental impact of the project by planting a tree
