Hello - We are just starting to get set up with the new evolve platform and I need to be able to inport our colour pallet into the new hub so that our users can just apply this as they are building their course. Can someone guide me on how to do this? We don’t want our users to be doing this themselves as often wrong colours and fonts are selected. Thanks for you help
Hi Wendy!
Go to the Themes section, create or select your theme, then click on the Color section at the top of the settings bar.
You will be shown the main 3 colours for that theme and you can click on Show More to see the others available for changing.
Select each colored square and then paste your brand guidelines Hex codes in where indicated.
You can see the effect in the main window, preview or choose from the dropdown at the top to see what it looks like on an existing course.
Further down from the main palette are more detailed color settings for Text, Backgrounds of certain items on the page, your feedback colors and tables.
Finally, under Card in the main Theme settings (not the color section) you can set up different types of style template that can be applied to parts of the page to make things stand out more.
Let me know if anything is unclear.
Two more things to note @Wendy …
- You can use the Share button in the top right hand corner of the theme to lock the theme access to Restricted. -then choose only the people who should be allowed to edit it to the Users list
- Any Editor can override the theme colors within a course (this will not affect the theme directly). This will be noted with a small purple dot beside the color on the affected item so you can see in a course if a color has been changed away from the theme default.

Hello Wendy.
I’m afraid not, as there is a different structure in place now for theming to make it much simpler to set up and manage. The Import theme you highlight is for between the same Evolve version only.
