I came across your post here regarding some accessibility questions.
You mention in one of your replies that “The Search extension wasn’t made accessible until November 2024”.
Sam Cook noted a couple of issues why it wasn’t accessible previously in this post here. I realise this was posted on Sept 24, but I just wanted to check that the points he raised had been addressed with the Nov 24 update.
A potential client wants to use the Search extension but has very strict accessibility needs so I wanted to be sure it was accessible.

@craigsteveid the only issue Sam raised that has not been resolved is:
The term that is searched for is highlighted each time it appears in the results - there is only a visual indicator of this highlight, so a screen reader user wouldn’t know the terms are being highlighted
That’s purely and simply because, at this time, there is no way to do this that works with any screenreader. The <mark> element is supposed to enable this but unfortunately no screenreader actually does anything with it.
The search extension was audited and passed by AbilityNet when they re-audited Evolve towards the end of 2024.
