Flip Card Accessibility - Keyboard and NVDA

Hello,

I have asked someone in my UX team to test some of the Evolve components to ensure we are more accessible. I was under the impression that flip cards are accessible, but he reported back stating these issues:

  • When using a keyboard, the space bar does not toggle flipcards, and it should.
  • With NVDA, flipped text is not read out on flip card (it is by JAWS).

Is this normal behaviour? Is there something I can do to fix this? Any insights will be appreciated!

Agreed, it should. For some reason that didn’t get picked up in the accessibility audit. Will log this and get it fixed.

It’s also read out fine by VoiceOver. Which would indicate it’s set up fine and is just an issue with NVDA.
