Course Navigation Extension

I’m using the Box Menu menu. Is there a way to add an item to the side menu (via the Course Navigation Extension) without having a box menu be visible? I tried adding a page then hiding it, but that didn’t work. Basically, I want the information only to appear if you click on the link in the menu.

Have you considered using the “additional content” extension? That adds a page to your course that’s only accessible via side navigation.
