# Variables and triggers - Logic tracking

Hi,

I have a course that has an assessment component that pulls from questions throughout the course. In the Course Assessment extension I have allowed 2 retakes.

I have then built several triggers and a variable that allow the individual to receive a logic dialog each time they don’t pass the course with the final attempt intended to show a different logic dialog stating they haven’t been successful and they will be required to speak with their line manager.

It all works except when it come to the final logic dialog, it will not show. When I have viewed the Logic Tracking, the attempts section always stops short by 1 and therefore doesn’t trigger the final dialog box.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey stu - sounds very clever! I think this is something that would definitely need to be investigated by someone taking a look at the course in action, though.
