# Text limit - Open Input component

Hello - I’ve got a quick question about the Open Input component.

Is there a word limit? I’m trying to determine if it’s really limited - I was playing with an example and it seemed like the learner had quite a lot of space to write answers, but when I read about the Open Input screen, it sounds like limited/short answers.

Hi there, I checked with the Evolve devs and we are fairly sure there’s actually no limit to what a learner can enter.
