# How to duplicate or version or a course before editing so that you have a backup should your changes have undesirable results

## Duplicating courses:

1. 
#### Navigate to Courses

#### On the course you wish to duplicate, click Duplicate

## Duplicate a course from inside a course.

1. 
#### Navigate to Settings in the course you wish to duplicate

2. Under General click Duplicate Course

## Creating Course Versions

1. 
#### Navigate to Settings on the course you wish to version
2. 
#### From the left hand menu click Course Versions

#### Click Select Version to enable that course version.

It is possible to publish course versions.

If you make changes to a version you will need to Publish the course again for those changes to be available to users of the course.
