# How to create or copy a theme

Creating a theme:

1. Navigate to a course
2. Click **Appearance**
3. Click **Create New Theme**
4. Name your theme and choose a theme to use as it’s starting point.
5. Once the theme is created click **Select** on the newly created theme.

**Copying a theme is the same process** - when you create a new theme just select the theme you’d like to copy from the **Theme Starting Point** , name it and Evolve will create a new theme based on the starting point theme.
