# Bulk Enabling Animation Options

Hello,

I have a question, although I’m fairly certain of the answer.

We’ve completed work on a large batch of courses—around 1,000—and we’ve received a request to enable animation options. Is there any way to enable this setting in bulk across multiple components within the same course, or is the only method to enable it manually, component by component?

I also tried enabling animations at the page level as a workaround, but it didn’t seem to have any effect.

Other than via Theme \> Page \> Animations every other animation has to be set at the Article, Block, or Component level.

One thing I would say is that as Evolve unfortunately doesn’t (yet) support disabling animations according to the user’s OS preferences, then if you want the best accessibility experience they are probably best avoided unless strictly necessary. If you do feel they add to the experience then you should favour fade animations over motion/scale animations.

Not sure why that should be - I just tried that (via Theme \> Page \> Animations) and it worked for me.
