# Box menu progress bars not working

Hello, I am trying to turn on the progress bars for the box menu. They are turned on in the box menu item settings but for some reason they are still not showing up. I have checked the theme settings and cannot find anything there either. How do I fix this?

Hi Samantha - make sure you’ve got _Theme_ \> _Menu_ \> _Settings_ \> _Show Progress Bars on Menu Items_ set to either ‘Set in content’ or ‘Show’.
