# ARIA labels for Dialog component

Hi!

I’m writing an ARIA label for a Dialog component which is set to autoplay. Is there a standard key command needed to move to the next line of dialogue, or to pause the dialogue when using a screen reader?

First up I would say that having it set to autoplay is likely to be a bad idea from an screen-reader accessibility point of view. Although there are occasions when autoplay might be OK, in general I’d say it’s best avoided.

Each dialog ‘item’ is a separate piece of content so you just navigate through it as you’d normally navigate through web content using a screen reader.

I would actually suggest that in most cases an ARIA label probably isn’t even needed for this component. If you’ve given it a good title and clear instruction text and labelled everything clearly that should suffice.
